The lighting concept for 8 Chifley, an iconic commercial tower in Sydney's CBD, was all about connection both internally and externally. How could lighting help visually bring both public and work spaces together in the most sustainable way possible while creating a real statement.
With the budget being a concern, it was important to find ways to enable the lighting installations to achieve aesthetic and sustainability goals while at the same time keeping costs down.
To highlight the sway-bracket and support structure as an architectural feature, the specification and careful placement of red LED lighting dramatically accentuates the finishes of the facade while also reducing energy consumption and light spill.
